Relevant Experience in the areas of: organizational change management, project management, stakeholder management or communications.

Project Location(s): Client locations: West Coast (LA or Bay Area) but must be open to travel to other cities or states as required barring Covid19 situation).

Key Responsibilities
As a consultant, you will drive work and manage a scope of work and grow quickly in your responsibilities.

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Support one or more scopes of work (same or different clients) immediately under Nimble.

  • Learn Nimble systems, how we work as a team and our brand of client service and apply to projects.

  • Apply frameworks for organizing client deliverables -- your client role may change in terms of the functional area or type of work you perform for that project; you will come up to speed quickly on client-specific frameworks and ensure the team has the necessary knowledge for success.

  • Lead workstreams within a client project, which includes the following:

    • Support the maintenance of a project plan once it has been first developed.

    • Manage all client deliverables that you own.

    • Structure work for your deliverables and reprioritize unplanned events as they occur.

    • Communicate regularly with your lead regarding risks and deadlines within your project(s).

    • Learn quickly the tools, knowledge, and frameworks that need to be applied to client deliverables.

  • Be responsive to team needs (weekly priorities, completing work in a timely manner for review cycles).

  • Participate in and be prepared for team meetings, one-on-one check-ins with your team and client meetings.

  • Must be able to be physically on-site with the Nimble team at the client location 4-5 days a week (barring Covid 19)

  • Must be willing and able to travel for client work (multiple clients or multiple sites for a client).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Strong references required for consideration, preferably from clients or direct supervisors.

  • Relevant consulting experience or experience in the areas of: organizational change management, project management, stakeholder management or communications.

  • Demonstrated experience authoring discrete deliverables end to end with an external client on a regular basis.

  • Demonstrated experience working across organizational boundaries and interfacing with related projects that will affect your work or your project team’s scope of work.

  • Demonstrated experience working in teams and groups effectively.

    • Comfortable facilitating and driving meetings with a planned agenda.

    • Successfully developing and managing working relationships.

    • Open to feedback from supervisors, peers, and clients on deliverables, presentation style, perception management, etc.

  • Proficient in technology and adept at learning new applications and methodologies quickly.

    • Demonstrated examples of new applications and technology, and learning new frameworks (change management, training, process analysis, etc.) and applying them to your work.

  • Demonstrated experience leading multiple scopes of work at the same time (internal operations and external clients) or leading multiple projects with different clients.

  • Can develop a project plan, structure the work, deliverables, dependencies, and touchpoints across workstreams for the team.

  • Understands and can articulate how their deliverables support the larger project goals.

  • Understands concepts such as “scope creep” and how to manage discussions with the client and escalate appropriately.

  • Demonstrated experience identifying touchpoints with related projects.

  • Experience conducting stakeholder analyses and using that input to design the appropriate engagement strategy in partnership with other project leads and the client for a holistic view of the end users.

Preferred

  • Project management skills: problem solving, tracking work, status reports, risk management.

  • Experience in working collaboratively within diverse teams and stakeholder groups.

  • Experience with SharePoint, Outlook, Microsoft Project, Visio (process mapping).
