Relevant experience in the areas of: organizational change management, project management, stakeholder management or communications.

Project Location(s)As a lead consultant, this position requires being onsite with Nimble's clients 4-5 days a week due to the nature of the consulting work that we do (barring Covid19), and collaborative approach in working with the larger client project team. 

Client locations: West Coast (bay area, LA) but must be open to travel to other cities as required. 

Key Responsibilities

As a lead consultant, you will drive work and manage a scope of work under the direction of Nimble and grow quickly in your responsibilities. Responsibilities include:

  • Support one or more client engagements (same or different clients) immediately under Nimble.

  • Learn Nimble systems, how we work as a team and our brand of client service and apply it to projects.

  • Learn or apply frameworks for organizing client deliverables -- your client role may change in terms of the functional area or type of work you perform for that project; you will come up to speed quickly on client-specific frameworks and ensure the team has the necessary knowledge for success.

  • Lead a team within a client project, which may include the following:

    • Manage, track, and drive the statement of work via a project plan that you develop and own.

    • Manage and oversee all client deliverables for that project.

    • Structure the work across the team by deliverable, by activity, and as unplanned events occur.

    • Manage risks and deadlines in a dynamic project environment.

    • Ensure the team has the tools, knowledge, and frameworks necessary to do their jobs at the client, i.e. learning, applying, and teaching the client frameworks that need to be applied to deliverables.

  • Participate in high-level executive meetings, drive actions from the meetings, and do any follow-up work.

  • Manage gaps and risks and escalate according to a planned risk management and governance structure.

  • Lead and contribute to team events, team culture, and ways to improve how we work across our client locations.

  • Come up with new, improved, and cost-efficient ways of doing business with our clients and take initiative to lead these efforts after consultation with Nimble leadership.

Note: Travel as required by the client (barring Covid19, etc.)

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Must be able to be physically on-site at the client location 4-5 days a week barring remote work or COVID19.

    1. Must be willing and able to travel for client work (multiple clients or multiple sites for a client).

  • Relevant consulting experience or experience in the areas of: organizational change management, project management, stakeholder management or communications.

  • Led engagements that required working across organizational boundaries and interfacing with senior executives. Excellent interpersonal skills; excellent writer and presenter.

  • Open to regular feedback from supervisors, peers, and clients on deliverables, perception management, etc.

  • Proficient in technology and adept at learning new applications and methodologies quickly.

    • Demonstrated ability to learn new applications and technology.

    • Demonstrated examples of learning new frameworks (change management, training, process analysis, etc.) and applying them to your work.

  • Experience with SharePoint, Outlook, Microsoft Project, Visio (process mapping).

  • Led multiple engagements that deliver complex strategy projects and initiatives with measurable results, working across organizational boundaries.

  • Ability to deal with and resolve ambiguity and to adjust personal style to different situations.

  • Versed in a breadth and depth of multiple methods to improve imitative performance with regards to scorecard metrics, business benefit measurements, and achievement of goals.

  • Guided executive level business decisions based on relevant business intelligence – presented using techniques such as: quantitative and qualitative analysis, performance and operations analysis, business case development, risk or gap analysis.

  • Strong references required for consideration, preferably from clients or direct supervisors.

Preferred

  • Change management methodologies: Prosci, Being First or equivalent coursework.

  • Preference given to those who have worked at a top-tier consulting firm.

  • Project management skills: problem solving, tracking work, status reports, risk management (PMI certification) or PMO (Program Management Office) experience.

  • Master’s Degree (MBA, MPP, MPA, etc.)

  • Experience with SharePoint, Outlook, Microsoft Project, Visio (process mapping).
